Claire Nichols who won the IT Tallaght overall trophy in May with her project ‘Correlation or Coincidence- Solar flares Lunar phases and stock market activity’. She went on to compete in the finals which took place on Nov 6th in the Marino Conference Centre , Dublin
Moritz Ziewer who won the Boston Scientific Award at DIT SciFest in March. His project was the design of a medical device to help doctors find veins. He was one of 6 projects selected nationwide to compete in the SciFest Finals on Nov 6th in the Marino Conference Centre , Dublin
Cherie O’Keeffe, David Joyce & Jonathan Andrews who won the Boston Scientific Award at IT Tallaght in May. Their project was ‘A medical device to treat hand burns using an endothermic chemical reaction’. They were one of 6 projects selected nationwide to compete in the SciFest Finals on Nov 6th in the Marino Conference Centre , Dublin
The students were visited at their stands by Mr Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation
All three projects were presented with an ‘Excellence in STEM Award’ by Professor Mark W.J. Ferguson, Director General of Science, at the finals.
