Senior School Dates for your Diary

2018-02-20

As most of you will be aware, Mental Health Awareness Week takes place on the week of 26 February.  Our ever popular Walk into the Light has been postponed due to the forcasted weather conditions and will now take place on Wednesday 7 March, meeting at 6.30 a.m. in the car park at the summit in Howth.  All are welcome.  Breakfast will be available for all participants in the School Hall afterwards.

Other events, Friday 23 February, Jim Breen, Cycle Against Suicide, will give a talk to all Senior School students.  On Monday 26, a talk will take place on Sleep Hygiene.  On Tuesday 27, the popular Celtic Adventures Outdoor Group will be exercising the students minds and bodies and on Thursday 8 March Robert Ford will give a talk on resilience.  On Friday 9 March, there will be an Assembly followed by treats.

The 3rd and 6th Year Parent Teacher meeting takes place on Monday 12 March commencing at 4.15 p.m. and finishing at 6.45 p.m.  I would encourage you to attend as close to 4.15 as possible to ensure you can see all teachers.  Students are encouraged to attend along with their parents.

The PTA Quiz night is on Thursday 8 March in the Sky Bar in Findlaters.  Further details will follow.

We are looking forward to welcoming our intrepid travellers from Barcelona and Berlin and I am happy to report that both the Ski Trip and the Trip to Malawi were very successful.  Thanks to all staff who gave of their time to facilitate these trips and of course, to the parents for the financial support!

We wish Ms Howard and the Choir well on their forthcoming trip to Paris to represent the School.

Transition Year Work Experience commences on 12 March until 23 March.

The School is closed for the St Patrick's Bank Holiday on March 19 and the Easter break commences on Monday 26 March.  The School will reopen on Monday 9 April.

We would like to wish the 6th Years well in their upcoming Orals, Practicals and Project deadline dates.  Ms O'Toole will be in touch with further information.

I would encourage you to follow the School Twitter account for constant updates on all school activities.
